The Israel Researcher’s Mobility Portal

The Israel Researcher's Mobility Portal is an online library of information for researchers, seeking research opportunities in Israel. At the same time, the portal provides information for Israeli researchers seeking research opportunities in European countries.
The portal provides all the relevant information on research opportunities, grants and fellowships, general and practical information, required for the mobility of researchers within Europe.

The portal is a part of a broader European Commission initiative, launched in 2004:
ERA-MORE - the European Network of Mobility Centres.

The purpose of ERA-MORE is to create a more favorable environment for researchers' career development. The network includes 33 countries participating in the European Union’s Sixth Framework Program for Research, and counts about 200 Mobility Centers throughout Europe (there are 8 Mobility Centers in Israel).

The assistance to the researchers is provided by two means:

    The Researcher's Mobility Center
The Mobility Centers are operated by the universities, and offer free, customized assistance and information to mobile researchers, who are planning to pursue research in Europe. The centres assist researchers in all matters relating to their professional and daily lives, including practical information on housing, schooling, day-care or language courses.

    The Researcher's Mobility Portal
The portal provides all the relevant information required for the mobility of researchers.

The Ministry of Science, Culture & Sport has been chosen as the representative of the state of Israel for this program, and serves as the Israel Bridgehead Organization of the
ERA-MORE project. The national Israeli mobility portal assists foreign researchers who are planning to pursue research in Israel, as well as outgoing Israeli researchers pursuing research in Europe.
